Youth Programs

Youth Shooting Sports Program

Part of our mission is to support TSRA junior programs, competition and hunter education programs.

We encourage our families to join TSRA by obtaining a family membership. This is a great step in the direction to continue with our Texas heritage, get your kids involved, and take advantage of the wide range of opportunities available through TSRA and the TSRA Foundation.

Texas is a great place to be a young person interested in shooting sports. There are many firearm safety programs, club sports, social and competitive events available. Whether you are a novice, intermediate or advanced shooting sports enthusiasts, Texas has opportunities beginning at the local level thru Olympic shooting sports programs.

The TSRA Foundation works throughout Texas supporting a wide range of organizations through youth competitions, coach training, equipment grants, college scholarships and much more. Our Texas youth are provided responsible firearms ownership and safety, develop marksmanship skills, and build relationships that last a lifetime.

Our partners include:

  • Texas Parks & Wildlife
  • 4H Shooting Sports
  • FFA
  • Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation
  • Boy Scouts of America
  • Association of College Unions International (Olympic Camp)
  • Dallas Safari Club
  • Texas Dove Hunters Association
  • Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation
  • NRA Training & Development
  • NRA Competitive Shooting Sports

While we provide a generous amount of youth education, we work to assist in developing volunteers and coaches through coaching seminars and NRA level 1 coach classes across the state. If you are interested in volunteering in youth programs or would like to know more about how you can get involved, please contact us.
